While other companies continue to decline, we have been able to take advantage of the current economic doldrums to move our business dramatically ahead. While other companies have been sitting by, anxiously waiting to see when the economic tides will turn positive again, we have launched the largest expansion in our history.
Besides a huge investment in Research and Development that has reaped fantastic results, we have just completed our new $18 million 153,000 square foot distribution facility and invested $25.7 million in new and upgraded manufacturing equipment.
We have also recently begun construction of a $22 million 223,000 square foot distribution facility and also begun construction of a $5.5 million 38,000 square foot facility in Idaho Falls and just finished a fantastic $ 1,000,000 new product store. We have also invested over $29 million into upgrading our computer capacity and updated web sites. And we have just signed a $4 million contract to triple our telephone capacity. All-in-all, we have just made a $111 million investment in our future! And that is just our North America investments!
It does not count any of our major investments overseas! And our timing could not have been better! Construction costs are at an all-time low. We have been able to come in substantially under budget in almost every project. And because we have saved our money over the years, we have been able to pay for it all with cash. While other companies who have not expanded in years are wallowing in debt, even after all these major capital expansions, we remain debt free! And we stand ready to accommodate the tremendous growth that our proven business model and new initiatives will bring.
I just wanted to give you a “heads-up!” We are launching into some very exciting and very lucrative new areas! Lucrative for our Marketing Executives, that is. Like any successful business venture, it takes a substantial effort of time and effort. But once in a while, an opportunity presents itself where the work has already been done and we just have to move quickly to capitalize on the opportunity.
